Jorge Romo Jr. is a successful entrepreneur, investor, developer and philanthropist born in the great State of Texas (USA). Jorge holds a law degree from UNID University in Aguascalientes, Mexico but his biggest focus has always been business development and commercial real estate. He has developed important international commercial and financial projects in different areas, ranging from manufacturing, hospitality to entertainment. Amongst Jorge’s hobbies is aviation, he is a certified airplane and helicopter pilot.
Jorge’s wife Maria was born in Kyiv, Ukraine. She holds a Master’s degree in Philology from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. Maria immigrated to Canada together with her family in 2007, years later Jorge and Maria met each other and together they lived in Canada and Mexico before finally establishing themselves and their family in the greater Houston, Texas, Jorge’s home State. Maria is a business owner, loving wife, champion of artistic and humanitarian causes, and together with Jorge they are parents to four wonderful children.
Besides their business and family goals, the Romos wanted to make the world and their community a better place. In 2020 they established “Jorge & Maria Romo Foundation” in an effort to provide opportunities to and enhance the well being of children and families and the communities in which they live. The foundation is involved in many projects promoting arts, sports and culture, and giving support to educational and outreach programs that contribute to the quality of life of their community.
The Romo Foundation is created as an urgent need to promote, support and preserve the actions and works that derive from the different fine arts that generate culture and sensitivity for a current society that is increasingly in need of the great and wonderful benefits that the practice of the different arts bestow, just as it has happened for as long as man can remember.
For this reason, we add continuous efforts to provide new talents with support, promotion and suitable spaces for the correct development and exhibition of their work, talent and proposal.
In parallel, we seek and rescue works in a situation of deterioration or oblivion with curators and specialists in the conservation of the different artistic manifestations.
